1. Overview
PlainFix scans a web page URL you submit and may email you a receipt, leftover access codes, and a PDF report after payment. This page explains what we collect and why. We do not sell your personal information.
2. What we collect
- Email address — when you start a paid checkout, claim a free full-report code, or contact support, so we can send receipts, access codes, and reply to you.
- URL you ask us to scan — needed to open the page and run accessibility checks.
- Payment records — package size, amount, status, and PayPal order/capture ids so we can fulfill purchases and help with support. Card details are handled by PayPal; we do not store full card numbers.
- Access codes — leftover URL credits from multi-packs, and free marketing codes claimed by email (code, expiry, redeemed status, and the email that claimed a free code).
- Support messages — what you send via Contact us, plus the email you provide there.
- Technical logs — basic server logs (for example request timing or errors) used to operate and secure the service. We may also apply simple rate limits by IP.
3. Scan results (important)
Full scan output (axe findings and AI fix suggestions) is generated to show you a report and, for paid purchases, to email a PDF. In v1 we do not store the full scan JSON permanently. For paid fulfillment we keep a short-lived database cache (typically up to about 48 hours) so you can view results and download/email a PDF after checkout, including across server restarts. After that window, we may not be able to reopen the same report — contact support with your checkout email if you need help.
4. Who helps us process data
We use third-party services to run PlainFix, including: hosting, a database (payment and support records), PayPal (payments), an AI provider (fix suggestions from scan findings), email delivery (receipts and codes), and browser automation to render the page you submit. Those providers process data only as needed to provide their service.
5. Retention
Payment and access-code records are kept so we can fulfill packs, prevent abuse, and answer support requests. Support messages are kept to help resolve issues. Short-lived paid-report caches (database + memory) expire as described above. You can ask us to review or delete support-related data where applicable by contacting us.
6. Your choices
Use Contact us (include the email you used at checkout) or email the support address shown on the site to ask questions about your data, receipts, or access codes.
7. Changes
We may update this page as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
